What we are and what we do
In 2011, neuromagick.com was founded as a teaching platform and library, owned and operated by R. Eugene Laughlin. The primary purpose of the site is to provide novel literature on contemporary magical arts. The documents housed here are freely available to anyone with interest. The site documentation and privacy policy and its rationale are provided in the interest transparency.
Dr. Laughlin is a scholar, theorist, and teacher with a ~40 year background in occult studies, magic practice, and Modern Paganism. He studied Psychology with a concentration in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience through the early 2000’s. and continues to teach college courses in psychology and statistics.
R. Eugene Laughlin is the primary author of the literature available on the site, though affiliate authors may contribute may add to the library on approval. Registered site users may post comments to site blog post, and are subject to light moderation. Prospective contributors to the site blog or content pages may send a request to admin@neuromagick.com.
Commercial Activity
Neuromagick.com does not sell access nor host paid advertising for third parties. The content is therefore ad-free except for site theme-consistent product offerings from R. Eugene Laughlin’s own business enterprises.
A special note to long-time visitors to neuromagick.com. Free access to site contents in an ad free environment has always been a source of pride. The content remains as free as ever, but as the saying goes: a girl’s gotta eat. The Neuromagick Shop was added to the site during a major overhaul in 2020. That’s our alternative to selling advertising space to third parties, because they may use your data in ways that we won’t. Your use of the site is therefore as private as we can make it.
R. Eugene Laughlin and his wife/partner are small independent business owners. Patronizing the Neuromagick Shop supports the site and the Laughlin family, but that’s the extent of it. You will find all available products on the site Shop page. Products ads may appear on various content pages, unobtrusively at the end of the article. If you see an item offered that you might buy anywhere, we’ll greatly appreciate it if you buy it from us.

Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Users who do not interact with embedded media will not be subject to that sort of 3rd party data policies. Otherwise, these websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.
